Sarah Boggess, vice president of external affairs at
ReEnergy Holdings LLC, and Troy Trombley, government and community relations manager at New York
State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG), joined ANCA’s board in April 2022.

Boggess and Trombley bring experience in sustainable energy, community relations and marketing to the
regional nonprofit, which works to build economic prosperity and resilience for North Country
businesses and communities. The region’s clean energy sector is one of ANCA’s key focus areas, which
also include local food systems, small business development, and the Adirondack Diversity Initiative.
“Sarah and Troy are great additions to the ANCA team and will be enormously helpful as our Clean
Energy Program continues to expand renewable energy and energy efficiency opportunities in the
region,” said ANCA Executive Director Elizabeth Cooper. “With growing momentum and legislative
support for New York’s clean energy transition, ANCA is in a unique position to lead community-based
initiatives here in the North Country. Sarah and Troy’s professional experience and community
engagement will be valuable assets to our work in this arena.”

Over the last three years, ANCA’s Clean Energy Team has been ramping up efforts to provide clean
energy opportunities for low-to-moderate income households, improve the region’s clean transportation
infrastructure, and help guide climate justice policy at the State level.

In her role at ReEnergy Holdings, an Albany-based investment company that focuses on renewable
energy and the waste and recycling industry, Boggess manages engagement with stakeholders,
community members, the media and elected officials. Before joining ReEnergy in 2013, she served as a
consultant with Behan Communications, vice president at Hudson Valley Community College, press
officer for the New York State Senate, and reporter for the Albany Times Union. She holds a bachelor’s
degree in economics and government from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in business
administration from Union Graduate College (now Clarkson University).

“I am thrilled to support ANCA and their vision for sustainable economic development, and I’m eager to
work alongside the other community leaders who serve on this board,” Boggess said. “This is a strong
team from diverse professional backgrounds, all doing good work in their communities and with ANCA.
I’m happy to be part of the team and look forward to helping advance ANCA’s clean energy efforts
throughout the North Country.”

Trombley, a Plattsburgh native who graduated from Beekmantown High School and holds a bachelor’s
degree in management from SUNY Plattsburgh, worked in banking and management before joining
NYSEG. At NYSEG, a subsidiary of the sustainable energy company AVANGRID, Trombley serves as a
marketing and sales analyst, energy specialist and government and community relations manager for the
North Country region. A proud father, avid golfer and outdoor enthusiast, he also serves as a volunteer
with a local youth softball league, Moose Lodge and Hospice of the North Country.

“I am excited to help ANCA reach new and diverse audiences through its Clean Energy Program and
other programs,” Trombley said. “I have always been impressed by ANCA’s forward-thinking approach
and their strong relationships with community members and partner organizations. This is an exciting
time in the renewable energy sector, and I am eager to help bring its benefits to more North Country
communities.”

“ANCA has grown significantly over the last few years — both in terms of staff and the programs we
offer,” said Board President Jim Sonneborn. “Our work is supported by experienced and dedicated board
members who are helping create meaningful economic impacts across the region.
