{"id":6512,"date":"2023-05-16T10:54:46","date_gmt":"2023-05-16T14:54:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.adirondack.org\/?p=6512"},"modified":"2023-05-22T10:58:32","modified_gmt":"2023-05-22T14:58:32","slug":"anca-clean-energy-conference-will-explore-community-incentives-and-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adirondack.org\/regional-press-coverage\/anca-clean-energy-conference-will-explore-community-incentives-and-challenges\/","title":{"rendered":"ANCA Clean Energy Conference will explore community incentives and challenges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA) announced the return of its Clean Energy Conference.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Presented in partnership with the Mohawk Valley Clean Energy Team, this year\u2019s conference will explore community incentives, opportunities and challenges related to recent state and federal policies.<\/p>\n<p>Warren and Washington counties are part of ANCA.<\/p>\n<p>With a focus on how small and rural communities can help advance a statewide transition to clean energy while preserving their values and character, the conference will convene clean energy experts, advocates and contractors, as well as local community leaders.<\/p>\n<p>It will be held June 1 and 2 at the Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley in Utica.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn alignment with ANCA\u2019s aim to elevate the voices of North Country communities, this year\u2019s Clean Energy Conference will focus on the unique concerns and needs of our hamlets, villages, towns and counties\u2014and how they can maximize emerging opportunities as new legislation rolls out across the state,\u201d said ANCA energy circuit rider and conference organizer Jennifer Perry.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Through a variety of presentations, workshops and roundtable sessions, guest speakers will share success stories and address ways rural communities can benefit from recent policies like New York\u2019s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act and the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, as well as challenges that may arise as these policies are implemented across the region.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are honored to partner with the Mohawk Valley Clean Energy Team for this year\u2019s conference,\u201d Perry said. \u201cOur extensive networks of energy partners and regional leaders will provide valuable insight for community members interested in learning more about these new policies and how we can work together to build a clean energy future that works for all.\u201d\u00a0<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Read the full article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glensfalls.com\/glensfallsbusinessjournal\/2023\/05\/anca-clean-energy-conference-will-explore-community-incentives-and-challenges\/\">Glens Falls Business Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA) announced the return of its Clean Energy Conference.\u00a0 Presented in partnership with the Mohawk Valley Clean Energy Team, this year\u2019s conference will explore community incentives, opportunities and challenges related to recent state and federal policies.
